Effort surpasses talent

Today was another hellish NAPFA training. I was knocked out in the bus; fell asleep without knowing that I did until the bus reached katong. Pretty embarassed today as the trainer kept asking me whether I am okay and if i would like to drop out. I must have looked pale to him that he was worried anything would happened to me. I was actually prepared not to turn up this thursday for the training. However, the teacher kept asking me why am I still so weak even after training. Plus, she pointed to the girls training for track and field, saying that even the girls are fitter than us. This really agitated me, and I have a strong feeling to turn this agitation to my strength and press on. For I have watched the History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi. The former Sixth Fist of Ragnarok Hermit a.k.a Tanimoto said this in Episode 47 to the Second Fist of Ragnarok Berserker, " Do you know why martial arts are taught for a long period of time. Because in the world of martial arts, Effort Surpasses Talent!!!" I will keep this in mind and press on!

Jay Chou's Touching Movie

I just bought the Jay Chou's First Directed movie "Secret" for my pal's birthday. Burned a copy of it before wrapping it up. Watched it 4 times already, it is really touching. It was rather heartbreaking, but it ends well with a rather happy ending. This show kind of start my childhood desire of wanting to major piano burning again.

I havent been able to promise anyone anything. Its obvious I wasnt given a chance by any girls. However, before I enter National Service, I would like to make a promise to one particular girl, I hope she will allow me to make this particular promise. I hope I will be able to keep this promise. Humans cant reallie keep promises, but I hope I can.

FYP = Tiring

FYP has started for barely two weeks and I am already getting extremely restless. Yesterday, I just got reprimanded by my project supervisor for spoiling the mouse. For goodness sake please get an optical mouse with proper USB color coding. I admit not taking down the color codes before desoldering it is my fault. But this mouse doesnt even have a proper data sheet, how am i suppose to do a schematic diagram and explain the USB wiring?

FYP starts!

Been very tired yesterday after the kick off of my final year project (FYP). Okay, the first day wasn’t too bad as the tasks given isn’t very difficult. But imagine having to stay in the lab till 6pm daily without knowing what to do. Damn, it isn’t a nice task at all. The internet isn’t working in the lab, and only those given permission by their supervisor would be allowed to use the library for a max. of 2 hrs. That’s why I am blogging right now. Tmr, there is this funny competition and I am required to wear an NYP related tee, jeans and proper shoes. Oh not forgetting the lanyard. Sheesh, is wearing jeans the trademark of NYP?

Government Sector: Lack of Humanity

It has been a long time since I last blogged. There are many things to clear so pardon me for not updating. First of all is the Odex saga. Heard that it will be sweeping the IP addresses of Pac Net users. My bro has been downloading loads of animes, was afraid to get hit. Okay it might be none of my business since I am not the one downloading the whole load of animes, but my bro would love to drag me into this mess as he thinks that he downloaded some animes because I wanted them. Pac-Net won the case but Odex is not giving up. Well, lets see whats the outcome, hope they lose, cant stand the way they do business. Doing it as if Singapore is their "turf".

Secondly, examinations. You know failing in third year will be a waste as there are only a few months more before you graduate. Been mugging hard so as not to fail.

Lastly, which is the main topic today, my selection interview with the RSAF for the vocation Senior Technician. It was the most humiliating experience I had in life. Seriously,
H-U-M-I-L-I-A-T-I-N-G. The officers there just doesnt care if they hurt your feelings, if you are weak academically, they are just going to whack your weak spot till your fist raise angrily continuously. I have quite a hard time controlling my temper, was grabbing the side of pants tightly. I mean shouldnt you give people who are serious in getting in a chance? I treated this interview seriously. They told me over the phone that the dress code was formal for the interview, I even wore a tie. The rest? Less than 3% dressed formally, some even wore t-shirts. They want my academic transcripts, certs and a copy of my IC, I created a portfolio and handed them in to them. I cant help that I am academically weak, not everyone can do well academically. I did my best, thats the most important. Government servants really lack humanity. I will not attempt to sign for a government post again, ever. I will find a job and earn a living. I tried to defend Singapore, but they turned me down. Sorry, if anything happens, I am going to wash my hands off. Two years of NS and 10 years of reservice, thats all I am going to give you.
